“Artificial intelligence (AI) is the capability of computational systems to perform tasks typically associated with human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and decision-making…

… It is a field of research in engineering, mathematics, and computer science that develops and studies methods and software that enable machines to perceive their environment and use learning and intelligence to take actions that maximise their chances of achieving defined goals” — Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach / Norvig & Russell (2021)
Think about it . . was there any “slowdown” of the Internet ‘back in the day?’ . . of tech obsolescence when hardware development was in a never ending cycle to catch up to software development? . . Imagine soon .. the algos replicating themselves.. there are no fast solutions .. not even government or private sector regulation ..
Yet, “what could possibly go wrong’ with computer systems and A.I. concentrated data centers doing the thinking, learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception and decision-making for humans? . . can’t be worst than it is now .. or is it? . . Or will it again be time to go rogue . . as it is now like the Internet was once, the ‘wild, wild West’..
